Nichols School invites non-Nichols students in grades 4–6 to join us for the next Young Scholars Workshop, a three-hour immersive experience designed to ignite imagination, creativity, and curiosity.
During the morning, students will rotate through three interactive 45-minute workshops, led by Nichols faculty and inspired by the dynamic learning environment that defines our Middle School.
Up to 12 unique sessions may be offered, allowing participants to explore a range of topics across literature, writing, science, art, mindfulness, and more.
Example sessions may include:

A Taste of Color
Experience color through all five senses and write poetry inspired by what you discover.

Engineer Your Own Pinball Machine
Build a working pinball machine using paper plates, marbles, and everyday supplies.

Mission IMPROVable
Use your imagination to perform short scenes in teams, using surprise props and costume pieces as your inspiration.

Shakespeare!
Take the stage and find your voice through "Will Power" with sound effects, wordplay, dramatization, and more.

Beatles and History
Discover how The Beatles influenced music, culture, and global history.

The Art of Observation
Practice journaling and mindfulness to sharpen your skills as a writer and thinker.

The Burning of Buffalo
Learn how Buffalo became a focal point in the War of 1812 and map its pivotal moments.
While students explore, parents and guardians are welcome to return at 11:15 AM to speak with our Admissions Team or join us for student pick-up at noon.
