Join Nichols School’s award-winning robotics team for a morning of hands-on STEM experiences designed for curious students who like to build, create, experiment, and figure out how things work.

Mayhem in the Morning is open to non-Nichols students in Grades 4–8.

Throughout the morning, students will work alongside members of the Nichols robotics program as they explore engineering, robotics, and creative problem-solving through interactive activities.

No previous robotics experience is needed. Students simply need to bring their curiosity and a willingness to try something new.

What to Expect

Mayhem in the Morning gives students the opportunity to experience STEM the way it comes to life at Nichols: by asking questions, testing ideas, working with others, and learning through doing.

Students will have opportunities to:

Explore robotics and engineering through hands-on activities
Build, test, adjust, and problem-solve
Work alongside Nichols robotics students and faculty
Collaborate with other students who share an interest in STEM
Experience the spaces and resources used by the Nichols robotics program

The goal is not to arrive knowing how to build a robot. It is to leave having discovered something new, solved a problem, and had fun along the way.

Who Should Attend?

Mayhem in the Morning is designed for students in Grades 4–8 who do not currently attend Nichols School.

Whether your student already loves robotics and engineering or is simply curious about STEM, the morning is designed to be welcoming, engaging, and accessible to a range of experience levels.
