Young Scholars' Workshop

Nichols School will host Young Scholars’ Workshop on Saturday, November 2, 2019 for children in grades four through seven throughout Western New York.

The workshop is $25 per child.

Young Scholars’ Workshop, led by Nichols faculty, is a program designed to inspire students through exposure to a variety of subjects, including science, writing, math, visual and performing arts, and modern and classical languages. Every year, the children who participate find this day inspiring. We strive to further nurture their enthusiasm for learning so that they carry back to their classrooms. Below is an outline of the schedule.

8:45-9:00 a.m.

Students arrive for registration in the Glenn and Awdry Flickinger Performing

9:00-9:15 a.m.
Welcome by Nina Barone, Director of Admissions
Student led campus tours available for interested parents 
9:20-10:00 a.m.  
Workshop #1
10:05-10:45 a.m.  
Workshop #2
10:50-11:30 a.m.  
Workshop #3
11:30 a.m.   Pick up in the Glenn and Awdry Flickinger Performing Arts Center

Event Types

"See Us in Action" events take place during the school day. This parent only event includes class visits, a campus tour, and a Q&A session with current students. Registration is required.

Sneak Peek event is for 7th graders who are looking ahead at Nichols for 9th grade.

Campus Tours are open to both parents and children. Tour guides conduct walking tours of the campus for prospective students and their families. Campus Tours are available upon request.

Lunch & Learn events take place during the lunch hour on a school day so parents can learn more about Nichols by hearing from school leaders, including the Head of School.
