A Multidisciplinary Arts Experience for Students in Grades 7–10

Saturday, March 14, 2026 from 9:30 AM–12:15 PM

Nichols School invites students in grades 7–10 to participate in an immersive arts experience designed to inspire creativity, collaboration, and artistic risk-taking.

During the morning, students will explore multiple artistic disciplines, work alongside Nichols faculty, and experience the energy of our arts community through hands-on workshops and collaborative activities.
Participants will select two workshops to attend.

Young Artists Registration

Workshop Options (Pick Two)

Mission Improvable: Invites students to work in teams and use their imaginations to create spontaneous scenes inspired by playful props and hats. Through collaboration and quick thinking, participants will build confidence, creativity, and performance skills.

Mixed Media Artist Trading Cards: In this fast-paced mixed media workshop, students will create two Artist Trading Cards using layering, texture, and expressive mark-making in a variety of art mediums. Make one to keep and one to trade!

Digital Music Production for Video Games: Create original digital music designed for video games by experimenting with beats, sound effects, and mood. Students will explore how music enhances gameplay while learning the basics of digital music production.

Paper Marbling Workshop: Explore how colors interact through a quick dive into color theory, then experiment with floating paint to create bold, one of a kind marbled paper designs. This workshop is all about play, color, and creative expression.

Dance Master Class: Learn some of the moves from our production of High School Musical, The workshop will start with dance stretches and a general theatrical dance movement warm up. Dance students will learn a few of the choreographic phrases they can see later in our middle school production of High School Musical. A fun introduction to theatrical dance!

10:05–10:50 AM: Workshop Session I
10:55–11:25 AM: Keynote Speaker & Snack
11:30 AM–12:15 PM: Workshop Session II
12:30–1:30 PM: Optional Lunch & Backstage Pass Before Performance
2:00 PM: Optional High School Musical Jr. Performance
