Scott Reisinger a veteran educator with over two decades of experience leading prestigious independent schools. Most recently, he served as Head of School at Trevor Day School in New York City (2014–23) and previously as Headmaster of Bancroft School in Massachusetts (1999–2014).

Reisinger holds a Master of Philosophy in American History from Columbia University and both Master’s and Bachelor’s degrees from the University of Rochester. In leadership roles, he has served as President of the Association of Independent Schools of New England (AISNE) and as President of the Board of the New York City Guild of Independent Schools, among numerous other accolades. 

Reisinger’s tenure will span one or two school years, depending on the timeline of our permanent Head of School search. This interim period allows us to be thoughtful and deliberate in our long-term planning, while benefiting from the expertise of a seasoned leader who truly understands the unique culture of independent schools.
