Peter Wickman joined Nichols School as the Dean of Enrollment Management in July 2021. He brings more than 15 years of independent school experience to this role where he oversees admissions, financial aid, and enrollment management processes for Nichols’ Admissions Office.
Wickman previously worked at a boarding school in New Hampshire from 2017 to 2021 serving as director of admission and financial aid. He is a frequent presenter at national conferences on admission work in independent schools. Prior to his work in admissions, Wickman was an Spanish teacher. Throughout his independent school career, he has also coached varsity baseball, cross country, and track teams. He has been a dorm parent and advisor, and has led groups of students to the top of Mt. Washington and down to the Galapagos Islands.
Wickman earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Gettysburg College, a Master of Arts in Hispanic Studies from Villanova University, and an MBA from University of New Hampshire. Wickman is an avid skier, runner, and cyclist. His favorite adventures, however, are the ones he takes with his wife, Maddy, and their two sons, Wiley and Winter.
