Girls Tennis enjoyed a very successful season, their first one in the Monsignor Martin League! They went undefeated in league play and finished 1^st place in Division and 1^st place in League. An exciting non-league win took place on Homecoming over McDowell from Erie. It’s the first time we have defeated them in years! The Vikings had an amazing showing at the league championships with Lily Norman ’27 winning the singles title! Amelia Greenawalt ‘24 finished in 2^nd place for the singles title. Leena Jalees ’24 and Adeline Glenn ’27 finished 2^nd place for doubles at the league championship! Rory Warren ’24 and Giselle Glenn ’26 finished in 4^th place. Norman, Greenawalt, Jalees and Adeline Glenn all qualified for the state championship matches in Long Island. Lily Norman ’27 finished in 2^nd place in the State Singles Championship. Amelia Greenawalt ’24, Leena Jalees ’24 and Adeline Glenn ’27 won their state consolation matches in singles and doubles, respectively. Lily Norman ’27 was the Most Valuable Player. Amelia Greenawalt ’24 received the Coaches Award. Madalyn Diamond ’25 and Maya Sharma ’25 were the Most Improved Players. The team thanks the five seniors for their contributions to the Nichols tennis program. They will be missed!
