The baseball team started off strong with a seven game winning streak vs. strong local non-league teams including Grand Island, Kenmore West, Maryvale and Depew. In league play, they defeated Bishop Timon twice and Canisius and St. Francis once each. The St. Francis victory was a walk-off! The Vikings defeated St. Mary’s Lancaster handily in the league quarter finals 11-1. They lost two games in a row to St. Joe’s in the semi-finals. John Boscarino ‘23 and Michael Zacher ‘23 were named 1st Team All-Catholic and the Most Valuable Players of the team. Zacher was also named 1st Team All-WNY and one of 14 players nominated for the WNY Baseball Player of the Year. John Boscarino was named 2nd team All-WNY. Luke Colpoys ‘24 and Jonah Walh ‘24 were named 2nd Team All-Catholic. Ross Yoshida ‘25 was named Honorable Mention All-Catholic. John Boscarino ‘23 and Jack Radomski ‘23 were named All-WNY Scholar-Athletes. Henry Chambers ‘23 and Kurt Mauser ‘23 were named Honorable Mention All-WNY Scholar-Athletes. Jack Radomski ‘23 and Max Langer ‘25 received Coaches Awards. Luke Colpoys ‘24 was the Most Improved Player. The team will greatly miss the five seniors!
