Position Summary: Nichols School seeks an experienced Middle School math teacher to join our Middle School team for the 2026-27 academic year. The Nichols Middle School, serving students in grades 5-8, seeks candidates who are enthusiastic about joining a collaborative teaching team, overseeing the academic and social growth of advisees, and assisting with overall school life at Nichols. The ideal candidate will be able to teach math at various levels from 5th through 8th grade in our small school environment.
Nichols School seeks a positive, enthusiastic, and proactive educator who is passionate about working with middle school students. Strong communication skills with families are an important aspect of the role.

Responsibilities

• Plan and teach four to five sections of Middle School Math (Grades 5-8)
• Advise a group of 6-10 students within a grade-team/divisional framework
• Create a classroom space that is differentiated, engaging, and responsive
• Integrate tools and technology as appropriate to support learning
• Identify and respond to the individual academic, social, and emotional needs of students, including learning differences, in collaboration with our Learning Specialist
• Attend scheduled division, grade team, and department meetings
• Participate in the traditions, culture, and events of the Middle School
• Coaching Middle School athletic teams is a plus

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics or a related field
• Experience teaching in a Middle School mathematics classroom
