"Home Again" for the Holidays: Help Nichols Resettle Two Journeys End Families!

Journeys End Refugee Services is one of the school's closest community partners. Each year, as a community, we work to furnish apartments for families resettled through the refugee resettlement process.
This year, we are trying to resettle TWO families as part of our 8th grade HEART day on December 20th. Our 8th graders, along with families, alums, and some Upper School Service & Social Justice students, will be cleaning and furnishing two apartments. We need help gathering materials! We have broken up the list of necessities into the following categories:
  • 5th & 6th grades - bathroom items
  • 7th, 8th, and 12th grades - living room items
  • 9th, 10th, and 11th grades - kitchen items
  • All grades/everyone - We are in need of used furniture that is still in good condition; we need bedroom items and school supplies for children of all ages and genders; gift cards to Tops, Home Depot, or Target are also always welcome. Items can be dropped off in the Middle School foyer or in Mr. Powers' room in Albright 201. Please write to Ms. Achatz or Mr. Powers for large items such as furniture.
