Nichols School Goes Bald for Bucks!

A team of 18 Nichols students and faculty members took part in the annual Bald for Bucks on Wednesday, February 16. In addition to hair donations collected during the event, the team raised over $22,000 to support Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center.

While the participants had their hair cut in the Reading Room, the whole campus community was able to participate in the Bald for Bucks fun! Middle School students donated to the Bald for Bucks team to take part in a dress-down day - and earned the chance at some fun thanks to their House prefects and teachers! Upper School students also ran a penny drive and played Nichols-themed Kahoot! trivia in advisory during the Bald for Bucks event.

From the Bald for Bucks team, led by Nichols Spanish teacher Ronald Montesano: "Nichols School has participated in Bald For Bucks for nearly two decades. Each year, our community watches as our youngest raise their hands and volunteer to collect money for cancer research. Students, staff, and faculty donate funds and participate in the cutting of hair. We are grateful for the support of our families and the community at large."
