"Screenagers" Virtual Presentation for Nichols Families

The Nichols Healthy Choices program, along with our Wellness Department, announce a special on-demand, at-home, viewing opportunity of Screenagers Next Chapter: Uncovering Skills for Stress Resilience.

A few years back, the Wellness team offered a showing of Dr. Delaney Ruston's documentary titled Screenagers: Growing Up in the Digital Age. The film offered parents an insight into the ever-expanding digital world children take part in every day. Dr. Ruston followed up her research on screen time and brought us this “Next Chapter.”

Nichols families can register for a free "ticket” to view the movie now through February 18. Registration information can be found in Friday's Quad Connection newsletter, and will be shared again this coming Friday.

Nichols Healthy Choices will also sponsor a documentary-related discussion on Wednesday, February 16 from 7-8 p.m. Mary Flanigan, our Middle School Counselor will be hosting an informative question-and-answer session for anyone interested. The Zoom link will be provided via email to Nichols families.

Tuning in to Dr. Ruston’s website, www.screenagersmovie.com, is an excellent way to keep up on her research into this timely topic. On the site, you can find links to her resources and podcasts. She offers information on gaming, mental health, sleep and screens, and screen time balance.
