In their first league game of the year, the team secured their second win with a score of 5-0. The game was a rainy, muddy match at the Tifft Nature Preserve against Bishop Timon. The boys got 5 goals: 2 from Thomas Enstice, 2 from Jesse Adamu, and 1 from Anthony Rambino. All three goals in the first half came from clean assists by Michael McHale, Nicholas Moore, and Enstice. On the other hand, penalty kicks accounted for both goals in the second half. Enstice and Adamu added two easy points due to Timon’s frequent fouls.
The ball stayed on Timon’s end of the field for a large majority of the game. Timon only took one shot against Lukas Benchley in goal. New goalkeeper Julian Iskalo got his first appearance on field in the second half, but the defense made sure there were no shots for him to save. Nate Bair, Lawton Zacher, Cutler Greene, Noah Stabler , and Leif Anthony all had their varsity debut in this game too. There may have been dreary weather, but this game was evidence of a bright future for this season.
