Leadership Academy - AMC Hut Trip
Leadership Academy 2025 is shaping up to be an outstanding group of students and chaperones. We have extended the application deadline by one week, so I want to encourage families interested in having their student attend to please see or reach out to Ms. Aliberto as soon as possible to collect, complete, and turn in the application. It is an experience students will remember for the rest of their lives and truly helps to build the leadership qualities and outdoor skills that our students need in today’s world.
Back
Who: for students currently in 6th and 7th grade
What: a backpacking trip in the White Mountains of New Hampshire. We will spend 4 days hiking and 3 nights sleeping in the AMC Huts along the Appalachian Trail on the northern side of Crawford Notch. We will head up and over Mt. Washington (the highest mountain in the Northeast, standing at 6,288 ft above sea level).
Where: the picturesque, historic, rugged, awe-inspiring, majestic, Northern Presidential Range of the White Mountain National Forest.
How: Nichols will provide transportation to and from, but everything else will be hiked by strong legs, strong minds, an amazing group of peers and adults, with a 30 lb pack on our backs.
Cost: approximately $1,500. This includes transportation, food, and swag.
Why: leadership skills have only become more valuable in the world, and we will work together to build these along with the skills to navigate and appreciate the great outdoors. Plus, it will be a wicked fun adventure that these kids will never forget!

Save the date for Reunion 2026 !
