Health Office Updates

Winter sports season is upon us! Please be sure your student has a current physical uploaded into the Magnus healthcare software, or make sure to schedule their annual physical if it's due to expire. Students will NOT be allowed to try out or participate if their physical is expired or not uploaded in Magnus. They also will not be able to participate in physical education class (required for credit) or go on field trips if their physical is expired.

A valid physical is one from a New York State doctor that has occurred in the last twelve months. The physical is valid until the end of the month in which the physical occurred. This is also required to continue playing throughout the season.

Please upload their current physical into Magnus, which is found in myschoolapp under resources. DO NOT MAIL OR FAX them into school, they will not be accepted in the office. You must upload them into myschoolapp. Questions or concerns can be directed to School Nurse Michelle Derenda at mderenda@nicholsschool.org  or 716-332-5105. Thank you.

Student Absences and Illness
If a student will be late, absent, or need an early dismissal, it is imperative that a parent call the front office before 8:00 to let them know.  If your call goes to voice mail, please leave a message.  In the case of lateness due to a doctor appt. of any kind, a note from the doctor’s office must be provided to the front office when the student signs in.

To reach the Upper School, please call 332-6300.
To reach the Middle School, please call 332-5100.

If a student is not feeling well and wants to go home, they must go see the School Nurse in the Health Office, which is located in the Middle School. Please inform your student of this if they contact you during the school day. Please do not call them into the front office. If you have questions or need to contact the nurse, please call 716-332-5105.
