Entrepreneurial Studies Students Prepare for Pitch Night Finals

Each spring, students in the Entrepreneurial Studies senior elective compete in Pitch Night, a Shark Tank-like process where teams develop a product and business pitch to present to a panel of judges from various industries throughout Western New York.

This year's Pitch Night finals are set for Tuesday, March 15 at 6 p.m. in the Flickinger Performing Arts Center. The event is free and open to the public, and can also be seen online via livestream.

On March 10 and 11, eight teams presented their pitches in the semifinal round to four judges and an audience of Upper School students, faculty, and staff. Pitches included problem identification, product development, value proposition, rollout strategy, and plans for future progress or expansion. The semifinal judges were Nick Ennis '17, Continental Paper and Plastics Corp.; Susannah Finan, Upper School history teacher; Ben Gerhardt, Upper School Spanish teacher; and Holly Mergenhagen, Director of Corporate Development at Seneca Holdings, LLC.

Congratulations to our four finalist teams!
