Nichols Families Come Together for New Family BBQ

On Monday, August 23, Nichols School families and students who joined the school last year or are starting their Nichols journey this year, gathered in the Quad for the New Family BBQ.

The event provided an opportunity for families to truly experience the Nichols campus and meet school leaders, faculty and staff, and fellow families.

Head of School Chris Burner presented opening remarks to all in attendance. Mr. Burner shared his appreciation for families choosing to join Nichols, introduced families to many leaders they will interact with throughout the school year, and shared his encouragement for families to get involved and explore all that Nichols has to offer.

After the welcome from Mr. Burner, Scott Saperston '90 P'20,'22 shared his perspective as a Nichols alumnus, parent, and Trustee. Saperston spoke to the power of the Nichols experience, the opportunities the school creates for students, and the supportive community that makes it all possible.

Middle School and Upper School families also met with Interim Head of Middle School Greg Plumb '96 and Head of Upper School Sarah Jacobson to learn more about the school year ahead and what families can expect. The night concluded with dinner in the Quad.
