Nichols Honors Student-Athletes at 2021 Winter Sports Award Ceremony

On Tuesday, April 27, Upper School student-athletes competing on Nichols' boys and girls hockey, boys and girls basketball, boys and girls squash, and girls volleyball teams were recognized for their dedication, leadership and efforts in their respective sports. These players were honored by their coaches for their outstanding performance and growth as athletes and as teammates.

The Nichols varsity girls squash finished the season by winning their 11th consecutive WNY girls squash championship, an outstanding accomplishment. Boys prep hockey finished as New York State Amateur Hockey Association (NYSAHA) finalists, with a close shootout loss in the championship game. Varsity girls basketball and boys club hockey also advanced to their respective league championships, and JV girls hockey finished a great year with an undefeated record.

Three Nichols basketball players also earned All-Catholic recognition: Quinn Benchley '23, Fallon Griffin '23 and Hugh Purks '21.

Congratulations to all of our Nichols winter sports award winners! A replay of the virtual recognition ceremony can be viewed here.
