Peter Wickman

Dean of Enrollment Management and Interim Head of Middle School
Peter Wickman joined Nichols School as the Dean of Enrollment Management in July 2021. He oversees admissions, financial aid, and enrollment management processes for Nichols’ Office of Admissions.
 
Wickman most recently worked at The White Mountain School in New Hampshire from 2017 to 2021, where he oversaw an increase in the school’s enrollment each year. Wickman led enrollment-focused marketing projects and created a Parent and Guardian Ambassador Network as well as managing virtual events during the pandemic. He is a frequent presenter at national conferences on admission work in independent schools.
 
Prior to his work in admissions, Wickman was an Upper School Spanish teacher at Tatnall School in Delaware. Throughout his independent school career, he has also coached varsity baseball, cross country, and track teams. He has been a dorm parent and advisor, and has worked extensively to support the long-term financial sustainability of schools.
 
Wickman earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Gettysburg College, a Master of Arts in Hispanic Studies from Villanova University, and a Master of Business Administration from the University of New Hampshire. Wickman is an avid skier, runner, and cyclist and has done multiple Ironman triathlons. His favorite adventures, however, are the ones he takes with his wife, Maddy, and their two sons, Wiley and Winter.
