Aranya Maritime
Dean of Academics
Dr. Aranya Maritime joined the Nichols School faculty in 2001 as an Upper School English teacher, and in 2005, she was appointed Head of the Upper School. In 2020, Dr. Maritime was appointed to the new position of Dean of Academics.
As Dean of Academics, Dr. Maritime is responsible for providing leadership in fulfilling the school's academic mission, objectives, plans and goals by overseeing curriculum development, faculty development and evaluation.
In addition to her years at Nichols, Dr. Maritime was a teacher’s assistant at both Boston College and the University at Buffalo. She holds a bachelor’s degree from Vassar College, a master’s degree from Boston College and a doctorate from the State University of New York at Buffalo.
Dr. Maritime also teaches spinning classes at Nichols. Outside of school, she enjoys biking and exploring all Buffalo has to offer with her kids.
