Inclusivity Conference Hosted by Nichols School

On Monday, Nichols School hosted "We the People," our fifth annual Inclusivity Conference for students from the Edco Consortium of Schools. The brainchild of two Nichols alumnae, Maia Manney '16 and Jill Daniels '16, the conference is designed to bring together people from Buffalo's private and parochial schools to learn about diversity and identity, and to practice building inclusive communities. A group of students from Nichols, Sacred Heart, Park School and Mount Saint Mary's met regularly to set up the agenda, plan performances, and share strategies for workshops.

More than 120 students were on campus for a full day of mostly student-led workshops and activities, capped off by speakers including Freedom Wall artist Edreys Wajed, Erie County Legislator April Baskin, and Acting City Comptroller Vanessa Glushefski.
