Daniels, Kyte, Simoncelli Honored at College Athletic Recognition Ceremony

During a special morning meeting on Monday, November 18, Nichols School seniors Noah Daniels '20, Megan Kyte '20 and Bella Simoncelli '20 signed their National Letters of Intent to play Division I college athletics next year.

Daniels will be attending Yale University next fall and rowing for their men's crew team. A four-year member of the varsity crew team at Nichols and a two-time team MVP, Daniels helped his boat to a New York State championship in 2018 in addition to second-place finishes at the Stotesbury Cup and the SRAA Nationals. He also led Nichols to the US Rowing Youth National Championships for the first time in school history in 2018.

In addition to crew, Daniels also runs cross country and plays defense on the prep hockey team at Nichols. Daniels is a recipient of Nichols' Christopher Wadsworth Award and Dudley M. Irwin, III '45 Memorial Award. He received Highest Honors as a freshman and sophomore and Honors as a junior for his success in the classroom.

Kyte will be attending Drexel University and playing softball. A four-year member of the varsity softball team, Kyte has been named team MVP each year from 2017-19. She received Second Team All-Catholic honors as a freshman and sophomore before being named First Team All-Catholic as a junior. A standout pitcher in the circle, Kyte threw a perfect game for the Vikings during her freshman season in 2017.

In the summer of 2019, Kyte played in the prestigious Canada Cup invitational tournament as a member of Great Britain's U-18 team. In the classroom, Kyte received Highest Honors as a junior and Honors as a freshman and sophomore.

Simoncelli signed with the University of Dayton and will play goalkeeper for their women's soccer team. A four-year member of the varsity girls soccer team at Nichols, Simoncelli helped backstop the Vikings to three straight Monsignor Martin High School Athletic Association (MMHSAA) championship games, including two titles in 2017 and 2018. She was named First Team All-Catholic as a sophomore, junior and senior and won MMHSAA Defensive Player of the Year honors in 2018, when she set Nichols' single-season record with 14 shutouts.

Simoncelli is also a two-year member of the varsity girls lacrosse team at Nichols. She earned academic Commendations as a freshman and Honors as a sophomore and junior.
