Mr. Cammarata's 6th grade geography class recently teamed up with Nichols Middle School Art Teacher Mrs. Achatz to create an interdisciplinary project combining geography, art, and history.
Students learned about the discovery for the Lascaux Caves and the five themes of geography in the Lascaux region. Students imagined they were leaving symbols about our current culture to be discovered in 25,000 years.
Stop by the Middle School hallway to see the Caves of 2025 with symbols of world, country, Nichols, and family culture. The symbols were created by our 6th grades based on their values. We will open a time capsule in 2025 when they are seniors in the Upper School to see how values and culture change over time.
