Build and prep raised beds for the Journey’s End Brewster Street farm, plant annuals and build a shed. Our work will support the “Green Shoots for New Americans Refugee Agricultural Program.” This program helps newly arrived refugees have access to healthy produce while also giving them space to grow some of their own food. The farm also has CSA shares for Journey’s End clients and accepts SNAP benefits. It is a good source of healthy food for many people from a local farm space.

NOTE: If anyone has an old picnic table or bench(es), please contact Kevin Powers

On the morning of the event, we will accept general donations to pay for the cost of the supplies ($750) needed for these projects. Checks made out to Journey’s End or cash accepted.

Dress: Please dress for the weather – wear Nichols green! Bring your own water bottle(s). Wear gloves and clothes for gardening. Hats/sunscreen depending on the weather. Please label your tools if you bring them.

Please RSVP by Thursday, April 18. Maximum # - 30 people.
