Roddy Potterreceived a bachelor’s degree with honors from University of Toronto and a master’s of fine arts degree from Brooklyn College. He also completed all coursework toward a doctorate at New York University. He joined the faculty in 1986 to teach Upper School History. After a hiatus, which included working at the City University of New York, he returned to Nichols in 1997 to teach English. At Nichols, Roddy serves on the Student Conduct Committee and Cum Laude Committee. He also is the Girls Cross Country Coach, a faculty advisor for Gleaner (a student literary publication) and the Upper School Department Liaison. He has led various SAT instructor training seminars, as well as coaching workshops and master classes. Outside of Nichols, he enjoys theology, percussion and disc golf.
