Camp (Go Out And Live Strong) Three sessions to choose from: July 8 – 12 July 29 – Aug. 2 Aug. 12 – 16 7 – 12 year old boys and girls Monday – Friday, 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. $225 per session  Learn and build team, health and sports skills. Participate in a variety of games, crafts, and sports taught by area coaches and student-athletes, all supervised by Nichols’ Certified Athletic Trainer, Bambi Horton, ATC. Enjoy both indoor and outdoor activities as weather permits, including, among others, tennis, soccer, basketball, volleyball, lacrosse and floor hockey. |

The Summer Hockey Camps at Nichols are developed, directed and supervised by Nichols coaches, players and alumni, as well as other youth, high school and college coaches.

 Driver Education Nichols Driver Education course combines the benefits of practical driving skills and defensive driving techniques for the safe and responsible operation of a motor vehicle.
Successful completion of this course will qualify the student for DMV certification (formerly Blue Card) and insurance reduction certificate. (Please check with your insurance company to ensure this fulfills their requirements for a premium reduction.)
The program consists of 24 hours of in-vehicle instruction, including six hours behind the wheel and an additional 24 hours of classroom instruction.
Students must attend all scheduled classes in order to meet the State Education Department requirements for successful completion. We have made arrangements for two make-up classes. Any student missing more than two classes will NOT be eligible for successful completion. NO EXCEPTIONS.
Students must turn 16 years of age by June 24, 2013, and hold a valid learner’s permit or driver’s license to participate.
This course runs June 24 through August 9. There are two sessions available. Group A meets Monday, Wednesday and alternating Fridays. Group B meets Tuesday, Thursday and alternating Fridays.
All students will receive 90 minutes of “in-car” and 90 minutes of classroom (three hours total) instruction daily. The program is available from 7:00 – 10:00 a.m. or 8:30 – 11:30 a.m. Registration requests will be honored as they are received.

 | Writing for the College Application July 9 – 25 Rising 12th graders Tuesdays and Thursdays, 10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. $350  Get a head start on the college application process! Instruction on writing all aspects of the college application, with special focus on the “personal statement.” Three-week course consists of six, three-hour intensive workshops. On-site, one-on-one tutorial available. Small class size. Developed and directed by Nichols’ English teacher, Larry Desautels. |

 | Golf Camp Two sessions: June 17 – 21 and July 29 – Aug. 2 9 – 14 year old boys and girls Monday – Friday, 8:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. $350 per session  Five days of driving range and on-course instruction at Harvest Hill, Bright Meadows, South Shore, Bob-O-Link and Ironwood golf courses. These distinct facilities provide golfers with focused learning in putting, chipping and pitching, sand play, as well as the long game. Emphasis on etiquette, rules and mechanics. |  | | Girls' Hockey Camps Aug. 12 – 16 Ages 9 – 18 Monday – Friday, 8:30 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. $425 per program  To be the best hockey player you can be, concentrated summer training from outstanding professional coaches is a necessity. The Nichols Girls Hockey Summer Program will teach you how to become fitter, stronger, faster, more skillful, smarter and more important to your team next year.
Our camps will offer a positive learning environment through which you can focus on improving your skills and increasing your hockey knowledge. You will work to become a better all around hockey player through high speed skill development as well as training in the fundamental skills of skating, stick handling, shooting, and passing. You will also be coached in the fundamentals of offense/defense, as well as team concepts.
Our staff/camper ratio is low and our coaches are experienced in delivering a first-rate instructional program. They love hockey and everything the sport offers to young athletes--discipline, self-confidence, teamwork, sportsmanship and fun! As an added bonus, each camper will receive a Nichols hockey jersey!

 | Curtain Up! Theatre Camp July 8 – 19 Students ages 14 – 18 10:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. $399  Join us for a two-week day camp that concludes with a full, live performance of Into the Woods! Direction by Alexandra Mathews ’11, Musical Direction by Tim Socha, and Technical Direction by Chris Cavanagh. The camp will focus on all three aspects of musical theatre: acting, singing and dancing. Activities will mainly consist of rehearsals in preparation for the final performance, daily dance or yoga classes, acting studies in various techniques, vocal workshops, technical workshops, head shots and MORE!
Each participant will receive a DVD of the performance and free admission for family and friends.

Intensive concentration on the verbal and mathematic components of the test. Addresses all aspects of the test-taking experience, including time management and problem-solving strategies.  | Robotics Camp June 20 – July 3, 9:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. Rising 9th – 12th graders $350  An opportunity for students to design and construct two autonomous robots that will compete against each other in a sporting event. Students will learn basic skills in carpentry, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering and computer programming. Two teams will design and create their own robot. A competition will be held on the final day. |

 | Forensics Camp July 15 – 19 5 – 8 graders 8:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. $175 
- Become a crime buster and help solve the Case of the Stolen Donuts and the Case of the Stolen Art!
- Students will learn about fingerprinting, fiber and hair analysis, paper chromatography and much more. They will apply their knowledge to analyze crime scene evidence and help crack the case!
